This was so helpful and interesting! I've written many mss in rhyme and love it but struggle. I thought I had the 'ear' for rhyme, but you've made me reconsider. One day I'll get it! thank you
I can relate to so much of this! Absolutely loved both the interviews. It’s great how she mentioned Renee class and how she thought she was doing it perfectly until she learnt she wasn’t. Been there, done that!! 🫣
Rebecca! Your books are fantastic and it's such a joy to see your well-deserved success! It's so funny that you mention the first time we met. I seriously can't believe you were nervous to meet me. But we were already in the Poets' Garage (a larger crit group you had recently joined) and when I first saw your writing there, I thought to myself, "Yep! She'll be published soon for sure!" And now I can pat myself on the back for calling it. :) I'm honored that you loved Ned the Knitting Pirate–the first manuscript I ever sold! I got the offer in 2012. Anyway, congratulations on Little Dreidel, which I ADORE. Nailed it!
I love this: rhyming is an art and a science. Great article!
Yes! Agreed. Thanks for reading!

I can relate! I, too, have always thought I had an "ear" for rhyme, but my CP don't agree haha. Thanks for reading!
